2007 Potlatch - October 13th
T-Shirt Order Form - download this word document and send to this year's organizer David Garcia by OCTOBER 2ND!
The three-figure temperature days are behind, and the cool breezes of fall are coming our way: perfect time to start planning our annual fund-raising and schmoozing ritual: THE POTLATCH. This year, like previous ones, we have a team of anthro students who are working very hard to organize an unforgettable event, and we hope that we can count on your donations, participation, and enthusiasm.
Why Potlatch? It is a great opportunity to intermingle with your students and colleagues. For students, this might be the chance you were looking for to convince a faculty member to be in your committee... This year it is the students turn to prepare the skit, so don't miss the chance to see the theatrical skills of your peers and students. But most importantly, this event helps raise funds for students, i.e. for travel & conferences. The ambiance is relaxed, and there is great food, music, and some beer.
When and Where: Saturday, October 13 at 2 p.m. at the home of Dr.
Jerry Murray, 1706 N.W. 26th Way, Gainesville. (click address for map)
Entrance Fee: Given that we want to maximize the amount of funds we raise, this year we will be charging a small entrance fee of five dollars ($5), which will cover the costs of the event. What else should we bring: (1) a side dish to share; (2) money to spend on the auction; (3) money to buy a t-shirt (information for pre-ordering shirts to be delivered soon).
