Graduate Degree Completion Time
This depends largely on the your initiative and/or financial constraints. As a rough average, it takes our students an average of seven to eight years to go from the B.A. to the Ph.D. in hand. But there is variation around this mean; some students progress rapidly, completing the M.A. in three semesters instead of two years. A year of full time doctoral research, plus another year analyzing data and writing the dissertation is expected.
