Graduate Transfer Credit
The total number of graduate credits required for the Ph.D. is 90. But many of these credits are earned in independent studies, fieldwork, and dissertation write-up. Students who have already received a relevant M.A. from an approved university will generally be allowed to transfer 30 of these credits to their UF record. (Students with no background in Anthropology are accepted based on their research interests.) If you do not have an M.A. but have done some graduate work, the University permits transfer of only 6 to 8 credits.
