The Anthropology Minor


You can declare a minor in anthropology through the Academic Advising Center.

Students may minor in anthropology by completing 15 hours with a grade of C or better (no S grades are accepted). A minimum of 9 hours must be taken at the university, and at least 9 hours must be at the 3000 level or above. ANT 4905, 4907, and 4914 are not accepted for credit for the minor.

Two courses are required:

ANT 2000 General Anthropology (3 hours)

and one of the following:

ANT 2410 Cultural Anthropology (3 hours)
ANT 2140 Introduction to World Archaeology (3 hours)
ANT 3620 Language and Culture (3 hours)
ANT 3514C Introduction to Biological Anthropology (4 hours)
