Department of Anthropology at the University of Florida

Anthropology Transfer Credit

The department of anthropology accepts a number of transfer credits in anthropology from both community colleges and other 4-year universities. Cultural Anthropology (ANT 2410) is most commonly accepted. The department will often accept credit for other core classes (Human Origins or ANT 3514 Biological Anthropology; World Prehistory), introductory classes (Introduction to Anthropology), and some upper division classes. We will also accept credit for an Introductory Statistics class. You must earn a C grade or better in all classes you intend to transfer. If you are planning on transferring to the University of Florida, please save your college catalog or course syllabi so that we determine if the class is appropriate for credit at UF. You can consult with the Undergraduate Coordinator to determine which classes will be accepted.
